What's included in the platform fee?
The platform fee covers the full orchestration stack: event processing, rule engine evaluation, knowledge graph, audit logging, connector runtime, and the configuration portal. In Managed mode, a base token allocation for LLM usage is also included.
Can I switch between LLM consumption modes?
Yes. You can transition between Managed and Bring Your Own Key at any time — typically within a day. Transitioning to Bring Your Own Model requires a model qualification process that takes approximately two weeks.
How is token usage metered?
Every LLM request is metered at the token level, including input tokens, output tokens, and cached tokens. Usage is tracked per tenant, per model, and per reasoning task. Real-time dashboards and usage alerts are included in all tiers.
What happens if I exceed my event limit?
Events above your tier limit are processed normally — we never drop events. Overage is billed at the per-event rate for your tier. You'll receive alerts at 80% and 100% of your limit so there are no surprises.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual commitments receive a discount. Contact our sales team for details on annual pricing for your tier.
What's the difference between SaaS and Customer Cloud?
SaaS is hosted and managed by Vertigen — you connect your systems and we handle the infrastructure. Customer Cloud deploys the full Vertigen stack into your own cloud account (AWS, GCP, or Azure), giving you full data residency control. Customer Cloud starts at $150K/year.
Is there a free trial?
We offer guided demo sessions where you can see Vertigen process real scenarios with your use cases. Given the enterprise nature of the platform — system connections, rule configuration, ontology mapping — a self-serve trial isn't practical. Our onboarding team gets you to first value in under two weeks.
